Change the batteries when LO-BATT shows on the screen. Keep the two manual keys somewhere other than inside the safe. Check the anchor bolts are still tight now and then.
About this product
A steel keypad safe with two 2cm locking rods and a dual alarm.
In a 1-Cubit and a 1.8-Cubit size, with a digital keypad, LED lights, a removable shelf and four pre-drilled anchor holes.
A black alloy steel safe with a digital keypad, in two sizes, with two manual keys as a backup.
Two sturdy locking rods, each 2cm in diameter, are there to resist forcible entry.
The alarm beeps on violent vibration or after three wrong entries.
Inside there are built-in LED lights and a removable shelf.
Four pre-drilled holes in the back and bottom, with four expansion bolts included, for a wall or a floor.
This is a documents-and-valuables safe for a home or an office: cash, jewellery, papers. Its job is to keep them locked away from an opportunist. No safe at this price should be treated as proof against someone with time and tools.
The door is held by two sturdy locking rods, each 2cm in diameter, which the listing says are there to prevent forcible entry. The body is alloy steel, welded.
The keypad lights up and takes a master code and a guest code, each 3 to 8 digits long. If you forget the code, two manual keys open it. When the battery runs low, LO-BATT shows on the screen, so change the batteries then.
The alarm beeps if the safe is shaken violently or if the wrong code goes in three times. Enter the correct code to stop it.
Inside there are built-in LED lights and a removable shelf.
There are four pre-drilled holes in the back and bottom and four expansion bolts in the box, so you can fix it to a wall or the floor. Please do. Even the 17kg size can be carried off if it is not fixed down.
This is a documents-and-valuables safe. It is not sold as firearm storage and it is not suitable for it. Firearm storage in Ireland is regulated, and a licence holder should follow the Garda requirements for their licence.
Still deciding?
Not sure yet? That is fine.
You can change your mind. Irish and EU law give you 14 days from delivery, and our own policy gives you 15 days from purchase, whichever is later. Send it back unused in its packaging and we refund the price you paid and the standard delivery charge.
If it turns up faulty, damaged or not as described, that is on us. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 goods must match their description, be fit for their purpose and be of satisfactory quality. If they are not, you are entitled to have them repaired or replaced, or in some cases to a price reduction or a refund. We pay the return postage. Read the full detail on our refunds and returns page, or ask us anything before you order.
Got questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes does the home safe come in?
Two, both in black: 1-Cubit and 1.8-Cubit. They are priced separately. The 1-Cubit is €229 and the 1.8-Cubit is €299.
How heavy are they?
11kg for the 1-Cubit and 17kg for the 1.8-Cubit.
Should I bolt it down?
Yes. There are four pre-drilled holes in the back and bottom, and four expansion bolts in the box. A safe that is not fixed down can be carried away with everything in it.
What happens if I forget the code?
Two manual keys open it. Keep them somewhere other than inside the safe.
How long can the code be?
Between 3 and 8 digits. You can set a master code and a separate guest code.
What sets the alarm off?
Violent vibration, or three wrong code entries. Entering the correct code stops it.
What happens when the batteries run low?
LO-BATT shows on the screen. Change the batteries when you see it.
Is there a light inside?
Yes, built-in LED lights.
Is there a shelf?
Yes, and it is removable, so you can use the space as one or split it in two.
Can I store a firearm in it?
No. This is a documents-and-valuables safe. It is not sold as firearm storage and it is not suitable for it. Firearm storage in Ireland is regulated, and a licence holder should follow the Garda requirements for their licence.
Will it protect things in a fire?
It is not sold as a fire safe and we make no fire rating claim. If fire is your concern, buy a safe with a published fire rating.
What is it made of?
Alloy steel, welded, in black.
How thick are the locking rods?
2cm in diameter, and there are two of them.
Can I fix it to a wall as well as the floor?
Yes. The four holes are in the back and the bottom, so either works.
What are the inside measurements?
They are not given in text on this listing. Email us before you order and we will confirm the measurements for the size you want.
How much is delivery on the Home Safe Box?
Free on orders of €75 or more. Below that it is a flat €25, whatever you order. Nothing is added at the end.
How long will it take to arrive?
up to 7 working days in transit, after dispatch within 2 working days. The handling time is the part before it leaves us and the 7 working days is the transit itself.
Is there a faster delivery option?
Not through the website. Every order goes on the same tracked service. If you need something by a particular date, email us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.
Do you deliver across the whole of Ireland?
Yes, to every county. We are an online supplier with no shop or showroom, which is part of how the pricing works.
Is anything added at the checkout?
No. You pay the price shown for the goods plus the delivery charge, if there is one, and nothing else is added at the checkout.
Can I change my mind after it arrives?
Yes. Irish and EU law give you 14 days from delivery to withdraw without giving a reason, and our own policy accepts returns within 15 days of purchase, whichever is later. Send it back unused in its packaging; the return postage is yours, and we refund what you paid for the goods and the standard delivery charge.
What if it arrives damaged or faulty?
Tell us and we will sort it. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 goods have to match their description, be fit for their purpose and be of satisfactory quality, and if they are not, that is ours to fix at no cost to you. Email theteam@customersupport.care with a photograph and your order number.
Can I cancel after ordering?
Yes, free of charge until it ships. Most orders leave within 2 working days, so email us within 12 hours of ordering to be sure of catching it. Once it has shipped, your 14 days to withdraw still apply.
Do I get a receipt and a tracking number?
A receipt by email as soon as payment goes through, and a second email with the tracking number once the order ships.
What payment methods do you take?
Card payments through our checkout, and PayPal. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never stored by us.
What currency are your prices in?
Euro. Every price on this site is the price you pay in euro, with no conversion at the end.
Is there a discount code?
Yes. `valued-customer` takes 15 percent off your goods at the cart. It applies to the products rather than to the delivery.
Do you have a shop I can visit?
No. We are an online supplier with no physical shop or showroom, and that is deliberate: the saving goes into the price rather than into a lease.
Can I buy several Home Safe Boxs for an office?
Yes, and if you want more than a handful use the wholesale quote page and we will price it properly rather than making you add them to the cart one at a time.
Who are you, exactly?
